Peninsula Cellars is a family run winery located on the Old Mission Peninsula, just north of Traverse City, Michigan. The region lies along the 45th parallel, halfway between the north pole and the equator. This gives the region its distinct micro-climate, that makes it perfect for growing high quality wine grapes. Other well known wine regions that lie near the 45th parallel include, Alsace, Burgundy, and Bordeaux.

Our philosophy toward wine making has always been very minimalistic, allowing the regional expression of the fruit to come through. The sun, the rain, the wind, and the soil, all under the watchful eye of the grower, are what make our wines so good.

Think of it as your very own, perfectly charming winery and Old World inn. stocked with fine wine and staffed with attentive proprietors whose sole purpose is to provide a space or experience to meet your every need.

They produce some of the most sought after and awarded Michigan wines and spirits. Leelanau Cheese's artisanal cheese… and the Hearth & Vine restaurant add to their culinary offerings.

Bowers harbor Vinyards invites you to explore the epic views of Lake Michigan and sample their varietal wines. Walter and Eileen Brys, proprietors of Brys Estate Vineyard and Winery, planted the first of 40,000 vines in 2001 and opened the doors of their tasting room in 2005. Their 31-acre vineyard is part of the 80 acres that makes up Brys Estate. In the Spring of 2008, Brys Estate expanded their vineyard to 31 acres and planted additional Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. In 2010, when these additional plantings are mature and ready for harvest, Brys Estate will be a 100% Estate Grown and Estate Bottled winery with a production of 50% white and 50% red wines. Currently, all their single varietal
wines are estate grown and bottled and a few of their blended wines are made from grapes which are only grown on Old Mission Peninsula, making all Brys wines 100% Old Mission Peninsula Appellation..
